The Exercise Industry Awards have a number of categories (a full list of award categories can be found here<\/a>), for individuals, programmes and facilities that operate in and around the exercise industry.<\/p>\n With the exception of three awards, \u00a0awards are based on an application process that is reviewed by a judging panel, with finalists (pre-announced) and winners announced at a formal awards ceremony.<\/p>\n Winners in past years have come from a range of backgrounds and each define excellence and success in their own unique way- we invite you to enter yourself or nominate a business or professional you think is doing great things.<\/p>\n The awards grow each year, as does the industry, with the standard and range of entrants, and the calibre of winners proving that the exercise industry is doing well.<\/p>\n People and organisations who have entered have commented that \u201cthe awards have been a great opportunity, even just filling in the application made us think about our product and how we want to differ from others\u201d.<\/p>\n Just as the industry changes, the awards categories and criteria have evolved over the years, to accurately reflect the range of facilities, trainers and services, big and small across NZ.<\/p>\n For a list of past winners, please see our\u00a0past winners of the exercise industry awards<\/a>\u00a0page.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n From 2005 \u2013 2009 the awards were run by FitnessLife and were known as the\u00a0FitnessLife Awards.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n From the outset the awards were recognised by the industry association for the exercise industry (Exercise\u00a0New Zealand<\/a>), as well as the registration body for exercise facilities and exercise professionals (Register of Exercise Professionals<\/a>\u00a0REPs).<\/p>\n After the 2009 event FitnessLife passed on the running of the event to Exercise New Zealand.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" About the Awards The Exercise Industry Awards have a number of categories (a full list of award categories can be found here), for individuals, programmes and facilities that operate in and around the exercise industry.
