{"id":4736,"date":"2016-01-19T13:36:44","date_gmt":"2016-01-19T01:36:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.exerciseindustryawards.co.nz\/?page_id=4736"},"modified":"2017-02-21T13:51:28","modified_gmt":"2017-02-21T01:51:28","slug":"key-changes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/exerciseindustryawards.co.nz\/aboutheawards\/key-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Key Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As our industry evolves so too does the categories judged at the Exercise Industry Awards.<\/p>\n<p>The key category changes to the 2016 &amp; 2017 awards are listed below, for a full list of the categories in the 2017 awards please <a href=\"http:\/\/www.exerciseindustryawards.co.nz\/4717-2\/\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All Facility awards have changed, they are no longer based solely on the size of the facility. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.exerciseindustryawards.co.nz\/4717-2\/\">Click here for more <\/a>details<\/li>\n<li>The individual gym instructor category is now included in Outstanding Club Support.<\/li>\n<li>We have introduced a new category called<em> Programme Excellence<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>The <em>Initiative<\/em> category has reverted to its previous name <em>Innovation Award<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>A requirement of the <em>Mind\/Body <\/em>category is that the classes are of their own choreography. All instructors who teach pre-choeographed mind\/body classes are to enter the <em>Group Exercise :Pre-Choreographed <\/em>category.<\/li>\n<li>The <em>Educator<\/em> category now includes individuals not necessarily based in New Zealand but who have nevertheless made a significant impact on the New Zealand Exercise Industry.<\/li>\n<li>Criteria for the <em>Community Excellence<\/em> Award includes that the programme or initiative must have been operating for at least 24 months.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<em>Community Excellence<\/em>\u00a0category can only be awarded to a programme or innivoation ONCE. \u00a0This means it can not be recognised at different clubs in a chain, nor at its original club within 5 years of entry. \u00a0If the program or inititative\u00a0changes in a significant manner it may be considered for an award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As our industry evolves so too does the categories judged at the Exercise Industry Awards.
