Here is a list of questions that have been asked by potential entrants, along with a brief answer.<\/p>\n

Nomination<\/h2>\n

Q:<\/strong> Can I nominate more than one person \/organisation?<\/p>\n

A:<\/strong> Yes, you can nominate as many people\/organisations as you like. \u00a0Just remember to include contact details for the person\/organisation you are nominating.<\/p>\n

Q:<\/strong> Can I nominate my self?<\/p>\n

A:<\/strong> Yes, but you may find it easier to enter!<\/p>\n

Q:<\/strong> Do I have to be nominated to enter?<\/p>\n

A:<\/strong> No you don’t. \u00a0You can head directly to the entry section and enter yourself or organisation<\/p>\n

Category<\/h2>\n

Q<\/strong>:What is the difference between Group Exercise and Group Training?<\/p>\n

A:<\/strong>\u00a0Group Exercise is instructor lead with a \u201cdo as I do\u201d type activity<\/strong>, so everyone does the same thing at the same time, including the instructor who is leading and performing the exercise activity. Most group exercise involves music. E.g Dance style class or a indoor bike class.\u00a0Group Training involves a managed number of individuals following a set series of activities and a structured programme<\/strong> e.g. a \u2018boot camp\u2019 lead by a trainer. \u00a0 Allowances and adaptions may be made for each participant\u2019s ability. \u00a0Not all participants do the same thing at the same time, and the trainer does not normally do all the exercises but might demonstrate them.<\/p>\n

Judging<\/h2>\n

Q:<\/strong> What is the judging process?<\/p>\n

A:<\/strong>\u00a0The judging process follows a rigorous process at each stage and may include mystery shopping, video assessments, impartial 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0party NPS scoring for facility entrants, on-site visits and live assessments (for individual finalists). The judging panel for the live judging event is made up of industry experts chosen for their skills and experience within the exercise industry.<\/p>\n

Q:<\/strong>Will I receive feedback on my entry?<\/p>\n

A:<\/strong>\u00a0In 2020 all Stage 2 Entrant and finalists will receive feedback for their entry after the awards.\u00a0Due to the high volume\u00a0of entries at stage one, feedback is not offered for this entry level. \u00a0Note: No correspondence is entered into on any feedback or comment made by the judging panel.\u00a0Queries and feedback can be directed to awards@exerciseindustryawards.co.nz<\/p>\n

Q: <\/strong>How does the live judging event work ?<\/p>\n

A: \u00a0<\/strong>Live Judging is mandatory for all entrants who are shortlisted as finalists in the following categories: Personal Trainer, \u00a0Up and Coming Trainer, \u00a0Group Trainer. Student (attendance at live judging required in order to considered as a winner in this category)\u00a0Live Judging will take place on the afternoon of Friday 20th November 2020.\u00a0The live judging event is designed to allow entrants in the above categories to showcase their skills and knowledge to our judging panels LIVE.\u00a0There are a range of areas that are judged including teaching and coaching, programme design and business elements.\u00a0All finalists receive full instructions and information prior to the live judging event.<\/p>\n

Q:<\/strong>Who are the awards judges? \u00a0How do you manage conflicts?<\/p>\n

A: \u00a0<\/strong>Our judging team is made up of a range of industry experts overseen by an Awards Manager who manages privacy, consistency in judging and any conflicts of interest. Most of our judges choose to remain anonymous. \u00a0In the event of any conflict of interest involving applications and judging this is declared to the judging panel and that judge abstains from making decisions related to that particular application.\u00a0All judges sign a confidentiality agreement. i.e. Any information (including financial and membership figures) disclosed to them during the judging process remains completely confidential.<\/p>\n

Awards night tickets<\/h2>\n

Q:<\/strong> When can I buy tickets and how much will they be?<\/p>\n

A:<\/strong> The earlier you book the cheaper the ticket cost<\/strong>. \u00a0 There will be Earlybird pricing (this finishes BEFORE) finalists are announced. \u00a0There will be intermediate pricing for a few weeks after the finalists are announced then there will be a late ticket cost. \u00a0 \u00a0Table lots (10 Tickets) receive a 5% discount.<\/p>\n

Q:<\/strong> How do I book tickets, do I get one for free?<\/p>\n

A:<\/strong>\u00a0All tickets need to be purchased, you are not allocated any tickets for being an entrant. \u00a0 The tickets will be able to be purchased on the FitEx Website www.fitex.co.nz \u00a0 (Note: Available from April 2020)<\/p>\n

Q:<\/strong> Do I have to attend FitEx to be able to enter\/attend the awards dinner?<\/p>\n

A:<\/strong> No, but as they are co timed events you may be able to attend both while you are in Auckland<\/p>\n

Q:<\/strong> Can I bring my friends who are not industry related?<\/p>\n

A:<\/strong> Absolutely bring as many friends and family as you want with you, for bookings of 10 you will be allocated your own reserved table!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
